NEW WEB-SHOP TUTTOBENEDESIGNSHOP.COM FOR SUSTAINABLE DESIGN MAKES SMALL SERIES ACCESSIBLY FOR LARGE PUBLIC.

The founders of the organisation Tuttobene, that promotes sustainable design internationally, is now launching a unique web-shop for sustainable products. Designers can independently present their products on the website and trade these directly with the customer. The initiators are Marieke Visser, Victor le Noble and David Heldt. For quite some time they’ve observed a growing demand among consumers and designers to get into contact with each other directly. This new web-shop makes it possible to find particular design products which regular shops do not offer.

"The success of sites such as Ebay made us think", says Victor le Noble co-founder of the web-shop tuttobenedesignshop.com, "Many designers from our network have splendid and affordable designs on the shelf, but as long as they are not put into the market in large quantities, it’s difficult to reach a good level of visibility. There are plenty of good sites for used products, but a site for design products that are produced in small series isn’t yet available".

The Tuttobene Design Shop makes it possible to present these products and directly trade them to the client without having to include galleries or shops. The designer manages his own profile with products, and when a customer makes purchase, the designer ships the product himself.

Setting up a web-shop for sustainable design is a logical step for the founders of Tuttobene, who have been presenting designers for years already, at the largest furniture fair in the world in Milan. All activities that Tuttobene undertakes have sustainable design as a common denominator. By means of this web-shop Tuttobene wants to make the market more accessible for starting designers who design ethically justified products. Le Noble and Heldt will personally monitor the quality and the sustainable properties of all products offered in the shop. Says Heldt: "This focus on sustainability is of the utmost importance for us. Customers visiting our site need to be able to trust that products they buy via Tuttobene are designed in sustainable, ethical way. You know you are buying something unique”.
